I made an internet search today to see how the term "womb twin" was doing, and found an article written by Andrew who started the WombTwin.ie blog.

There are six hundred million womb twin survivors in the world, and we will have to work hard to reach even the tiniest percentage of them! (How did I work that figure out? See here.)
So well done Andrew! Keep up the good work.
Meanwhile, the book continues, with a new focus: the loss of a twin in the first three months of life. A deeply mysterious time in all our lives, that stretches the imagination and enlarges ones respect for the tenacity and delicacy of the human embryo.
I hope to have this in hand by the end of February. What a journey!
When a twin dies before birth, the sole survivor needs help and understanding. Womb twin survivors are the sole survivors of a twin or multiple pregnancy. This group, 1 in 10 of the population, includes survivors of a stillbirth, miscarriage, abortion and a "vanishing twin" pregnancy. It is a story of a twin bond broken by death, leaving a lonely survivor.
