Our mothers movement caused a swaying/rocking motion, and that's why rocking helps relieve stress even in adults. So my point is, if our bodies and brains remember this motion from before we were born, why isn't it plausible that we could still remember our twins? It definitely isn't a memory like a past vacation would be, but definitely a memory nonetheless. It in indeed so obvious that the Freudians are going to have to stop saying that "memory starts at three years old!"
When do you think memory begins? Is it possible to remember a twin who does in the first trimester?
It's absolutely possible! Why else would we wts have similar feelings and memories? We certainly aren't crazy! The brain is an amazing organ. We still don't know all there is to know about it, and this proves it! Just because others don't believe us doesn't make it untrue.
ReplyDeleteI'm certain my twin was lost in the womb- for various reasons. I think it's possible to be aware of someone else in the womb, but I don't think of it as a memory as such. It's more like an experience that shapes us. Having that sensation fade away- I think it's that which we carry through childhood and adulthood.
ReplyDeleteIf it were a 'memory' in the regular sense, then why wouldn't we remember the process of being born?
Either way, we're clearly affected and moulded by events in the womb- of that there can be little question.
Agreed. It's not a 'memory' just alack of a better word to call it. An experience sounds better. It would be nice to have more information on the developmental process of wombtwins.
