Being bothered and the way you are bothered tells you something about where you put your energies, and that, in my view, is set before birth.
I related this to a study of the Enneagram, which is an ancient system for defining characters. I think its according to their pre-birth experience, but then I would, wouldnt I?
Here it is: there are nine types:
A bit of bother
1 I am bothered about the fact that I am not bothering enough about how bothered I am
2 I am bothered about how bothered someone else seems to be
3. I'm bothered but I make sure that no one ever knows whether I am bothered about things or not.
4 I am bothered about the way I am feeling so bothered
5 Why bother about all that? I have better things to do.
6 I am bothered because I don't know what it is I am bothered about
7 Im not bothered about anything, because of course I am brave and cheerful about things
8 I am out for a bit of bother with other people who are bothering me
9 I can't be bothered to find out what is bothering me
What type are you and why do you think you are that type? What made you who you are? ( or are you a 5 and not the least bit bothered about that!)
When a twin dies before birth, the sole survivor needs help and understanding. Womb twin survivors are the sole survivors of a twin or multiple pregnancy. This group, 1 in 10 of the population, includes survivors of a stillbirth, miscarriage, abortion and a "vanishing twin" pregnancy. It is a story of a twin bond broken by death, leaving a lonely survivor.

Can you see the brain cells starting to smoulder?! After I took the time to make the distinctions I'd go for 5 but prior to letting Hazel (my wombtwin sister) go was a 4 (which was my favourite number!) But maybe your not bothered about the before & after. (But knowing you, that contrast may spark another idea for a topic for you though - more likely you've already spotted some sort of "before & after" pattern already!
ReplyDeleteYou always have my support & encouragement for you book, Althea. What sort of encouragement do you value the most? (I'm taking sincerity as a given.)
