It is from the Greek word katastrophḗ which means "overturning". When a catastrophe occurs, the world turns upside down and nothing is certain any more. Furthermore there is no possibility of restoring the state of things that pertained before the catastrophe occurred.

In your Dream of the Womb your womb twin is increasingly unable to survive. The bodily systems are failing and inevitable death must ensue as a result. And there is no way back.
When a twin dies before birth, the sole survivor needs help and understanding. Womb twin survivors are the sole survivors of a twin or multiple pregnancy.
