A healing path stage 1: Making your twin real - bodily form

The very first step on the healing path is to make the your twin real.  All my work is firmly based in the idea that pre-birth memory is amazingly accurate, and a fraternal ( DZ) womb twin survivor will feel completely differently when compared with an identical ( MZ) womb twin survivor - the multiples feel differently again.

There are two critical aspects this this memory, which  have to form of your twin and the second is the way in which they died. Today I will look at some of the various bodily forms that a womb twin twin may take.

There are many forms to be considered:

The new healing book for womb twin survivors

Today I start writing in earnest a book I have had planned since 2003. I began by writing pages for the original web site that set out stages of healing for womb twin survivors,  then I wrote a series of leaflets for a healing group I had started, and finally I gathered the information into an ebook, which has been available since 2004.

This ebook is available here, and all profits go to support the work of Womb Twin, the  organisation we founded in 2007 to provide help for womb twin survivors around the world.

The new book has a cover, with a wonderful image created by Tina Wigan that shows womb  twin survivors struggling up the pathway to healing and new life.   Do let me know what you think of the cover.....

Books for womb twin survivors: the final book about healing

So we come to the final book in the Womb Twin series. There will be more for children, as we shall see tomorrow, but this is the last one that I shall write for womb twin adults.  I hope to have it ready for editing in September 2012 and published in time for the 2012 Womb Twin conference in London.

This will be a book about the process of healing that womb twin survivors undergo, almost spontaneously, as they awaken from their Dream of the Womb. I touched on this in the final part of Womb Twin Survivors; the lost twin in the Dream of the Womb, simply for completeness, but there is much, much more to say about healing - another 15 chapters and 90000 words, in fact!

Books for womb twin survivors: the healing path e-book

In 2005 I had more and more people coming to the web site and completing various versions of the questionnaire.   I was struggling to find the right statements that would describe how most womb twin survivors feel and I was making progress, having made several versions since 2003. But as the research continued and  people started to ask for help.

I had set out healing steps on the earlier versions of my web site,  and I began to wonder if I may attempt to write a book about healing.  It would not be definitive , as I was still in the early stages of research, but it would be the best I could do at the time.  In any case it would be the only book that I was able to find at the time that set out healing steps and self development exercises for a womb twin survivor.

It happened that over the winter of 2004/5 that I had a house guest who stayed for 4 months. I was able to bounce ideas off her and talk it all over, and with her help I finally created a PDF of the 30 healing steps.

Freud, addiction and death

Freud was a cocaine addict.  He smoked tobacco all his life and contracted jaw cancer as a result.  He died at the hands of his own doctor and by his own consent.

See this book:  An Anatomy of addiction Sigmund Freud, William Halsted, and the Miracle Drug Cocaine
An Anatomy of Addiction tells the tragic and heroic story of each man, accidentally struck down in his prime by an insidious malady: tragic because of the time, relationships, and health cocaine forced each to squander; heroic in the intense battle each man waged to overcome his affliction as he conquered his own world with his visionary healing gifts. Here is the full story, long overlooked, told in its rich historical context.
The full story of Sigmund Freud, father of psychoanalysis and many say the father of modern psychology,  may have been told many times but it requires explanation. Womb twin theory supplies that explanation.

No healing for Amy Winehouse

We have come to the end of a tough but glorious healing journey together,  fuelled by that vital understanding that we are womb twin survivors and that is the reason for the pain of simply being alive.

There will be no healing journey for Amy Winehouse, who died last week from a drug overdose.

According to her friend Russel Brand, her addictions defined her and then killed her.

Healing (10) finding your personal healing path

To move forward you will need to look back. Spend some time reading these pages again and discuss the ideas with as many people as you can. Try and make the idea of wombtwin survivors familiar, real and ordinary.
Dream
Allow yourself to hope that things could be different one day, however hard that may be to imagine. See the way you sabotage your life and imagine a world where you don’t do that any more and what life will be like. Experience yearning, longing and wishing and notice the healing energy that lies hidden in your dreams.
Question
Why do you live the way you do? Why do you feel the way you do about yourself? Why do you have these strange fantasies? Chase these questions as far as you can with relentless logic until you can see that there is no reason why you should do such damage to yourself and your life - unless you are guilty about being alive.

Healing (3) Despair

You spent several months alone in the womb after your womb twin died. Your feelings of despair were created then. The nature of your despair that arises out of your Dream of the Womb varies according to the circumstances of your womb twin’s death.
HOPE
Despair is the absence of hope. This can arise out of a sense of hope being dashed. In the Dream of the Womb, the tiny person who was moving actively nearby seemed to promise a relationship that would be as close as close can be, but the promise was broken by death. That sense of dejection and being disheartened suggests a bitter disappointment. In the Dream, the hopelessness that is a large part of despair is an echo of the long, long wait for your womb twin to respond.

Healing (2) Finding the facts behind the imprint

In the womb, you learned very, very fast indeed. In spurts of activity, your tiny body moved rapidly. Throughout this frenzied movement, your neural networks were at once being formed and pruned. The formation of your neural networks was the creation of a large number of links between a large number of neurones.

Each neurone was just one single cell among many millions of other neurones. Each had many hundreds of tiny little tendrils extending from it, each capable of meeting and connecting with the ends of other tendrils of other neurones. The resultant web of neurones, all connected to one another, is what now makes up your brain and spinal cord. The more connections you have, the higher your IQ. Somewhere in all that complexity is a simple, primitive imprint of your life in the womb.
Now all this may sound a bit far-fetched for a tiny creature the size of a bean growing rapidly in half a wine-glass full of amniotic fluid, but this is indeed what was going on. When you were that size, all those years ago, your neurones were growing at such a rate that you were much, much more sensitive to your environment than you are now, and enormous quantities of information about what was going on around you must have come pouring in.

Healing for womb twin survivors - the e-book

Throughout the month of July, I will set out the 30 steps of the Healing Path, as described in this ebook:

All proceeds go to Womb Twin

This ebook was written over the winter of 2005/6 and detailed a healing path for womb twin survivors, at least as it seemed to me at the time....

The vanishing twin syndrome "appears" in a counselling session

The twin who vanished is not gone: the vague memory of  Someone Else There remains in the mind of the survivor.  A trained and aware therapist can identify a womb twin survivor by their character traits and by the way they behave and what they say in the session. A sensitive therapist who can recognise the energy in the room can see changes in the energy as the subject is aired and worked through. This movie reveals a good example of this.

Five ways to "spot" a womb twin survivor in the therapy room:
